Aliens Turn Soviet Troops to Stone After UFO Shot Down, Says Declassified CIA File

A once-secret CIA file from the Cold War has gone viral. It tells a strange story about a battle between Soviet soldiers and a UFO. The report claims the UFO's passengers turned the soldiers into stone before flying away.

After the Soviet Union broke apart in 1991, the CIA got a 250-page report from the KGB. It described what happened when a group of Soviet soldiers fired at a flying saucer in Ukraine.

The report included stories from people who saw the event and pictures of the aftermath. One American agent called it “a horrific picture of revenge on the part of extraterrestrial creatures, a picture that makes one’s blood freeze.”

According to the report, during a training mission in Ukraine, the soldiers saw a “low-flying spaceship in the shape of a saucer” above them.

One of them fired a surface-to-air missile at the UFO, hitting it and causing it to crash.

“It fell to Earth not far away, and five short humanoids with ‘large heads and large black eyes’ emerged from it,” the report claims.

The creatures got out of the wrecked ship, then came together and “merged into a single object that acquired a spherical shape,” according to the soldiers who survived.

“In a few seconds, the spheres grew much bigger and exploded by flaring up with an extremely bright light. At that very instant, 23 soldiers who had watched the phenomenon turned into … stone poles,” the report states.

“Only two soldiers who stood in the shade and were less exposed to the luminous explosion survived,” it added.

The KGB reportedly took the “petrified soldiers” and the crashed UFO to a secret base near Moscow.

Soviet scientists found that the bright light somehow changed the soldiers’ living cells into something just like limestone.

The CIA said, “If the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case.” It also said, “The Aliens possess such weapons and technology that go beyond all our assumptions. They can stand up for themselves if attacked.”

This CIA file was declassified in 2000. It was first reported by Weekly World News in Canada and the Ukrainian newspaper Holos Ukrayiny. UFO fans are still very interested in the story. It was even talked about on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast last year.

Interest in UFOs and aliens grew again after the U.S. Department of Defense created the UAP Task Force in 2020. This group released many new government files about unknown flying objects. Their goal is to “detect, analyze and catalog” the UAPs.
