Shocking Revelation from 3,300-Year-Old Egyptian Document Points to Giant Beings in Bible as Being Real
Historians are puzzled by an old Egyptian scroll in the British Museum that has come back into the spotlight. It might back up the idea that the giants mentioned in the Bible were real.
In the Bible's Genesis chapter 6, it talks about how God reacted to a lot of human “wickedness” and bad behavior. This was said to be caused by the Nephilim, who were strong beings born from “fallen angels” and human women.
These sons were called giant beings and “men of renown.” They caused big problems, which led God to clean the earth by “destroying all creatures under the sky” with “flood waters.”
Now, jumping to today. There's a 3,300-year-old document called Anastasi I that's been in the British Museum since 1839. It has caught the attention again of the Associates for Biblical Research, a religious group in Pennsylvania. This has some historians and researchers thinking these “men of renown” giants could have been real.
The old document, thought to be from the 13th century BCE, talks about meetings with the Shosu people. They were said to be about 8 feet tall and scared the Israelites, as first reported by the Daily Mail.
To link Anastasi I as extra proof beyond the Bible that giants were real, there's a verse from the Old Testament in Numbers 13:33. It suggests the Israelites met these huge people: “And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”
The scroll, which researchers think is a letter from a scribe, says: “The narrow defile is infested with Shosu concealed beneath the bushes; some of them are of four cubits or of five cubits, from head to foot, fierce of face, their heart is not mild, and they hearken not to coaxing.”
“Four cubits or five cubits” tall works out to around 8 feet.
Even with this, historians are still doubtful because there's no real physical proof or finds from digs that show giants once lived.
On the other hand, stories of “supersized humans” from Central America wandering in a far-off town 90 miles northeast of Reno, Nevada, still confuse scientists after all this time.
While many people think these redheaded, pale-skinned giants are just myths, some reports of finds tell a different story. For example, two miners supposedly found 60 human skeletons, some between 7 and 8 feet tall.
