The Open Society Foundation, affiliated with George Soros, disbursed a total of $5.5 million to the nonprofit organization known as Accelerate Action Inc. in both the years 2020 and 2021. Subsequently, in the year 2022, Accelerate Action Inc. directed a minimum of $300,000 in financial support to another nonprofit entity named Gen Z for Change. Gen Z for Change is recognized for its network comprising 500 individuals described as "activists, organizers, and creators," as indicated by disclosed tax filings.
During his presidential term, President Biden has relied on Gen Z for Change and other influential figures within the realm of social media to advocate for and promote his policy agenda.
In acknowledgment of their notable contributions, Gen Z for Change received an invitation to the White House to attend the signing ceremony of the Inflation Reduction Act.
The manner in which Gen Z for Change allocates the funds provided by Soros to its central group of youthful influencer activists, whose social media accounts prominently feature White House and far-left narratives, remains uncertain.
“We are unequivocally supportive of Medicare for all, the Green New Deal, Palestinian liberation, [and] a plethora of progressive policies that a vast majority of Gen Z supports,” group founder Aidan Kohn-Murphy told his 288,000 TikTok followers in a message Wednesday.
According to information from his speakers bureau, Kohn-Murphy has personally managed collaborations and partnerships with both the White House and the Democratic National Committee.
Approximately 66% of the $8.3 million in funding received by Accelerate Action during the years 2020 and 2021 originated from George Soros.
